THE BEST BEWITCHMENT

I sit and stare far into space and all I see is my love's face,
afloat before me, gazing back... (that's why my mind won't stay on track)
She said to me, "You write so well!" (and more) and for those words I fell,
susceptible as any man, but still, I'll do the best I can.
The sight of her has power such that I can only think to touch,
and touching leads to holding near, which yields us to sensations dear
as we draw near to passions' gates... (that wonderous driving urge to mate?)
Wait! Scratch that line! It's impolite! However true, It seems so trite!
There's ever so much more to us than simple, average, standard lust!
I talk with her, she talks with me (a MONTH has passed with NO TV!),
We seem to know each other well, but there seems always more to tell.
Our words serve to secure a Bond of friendship that extends beyond
the sides of us that crave as lovers, drawing each to need the other.
With kisses, tastes, and wandering fingers
(that travel far, but sometimes linger)
Long hours I pass within her arms, to savor each and every charm...
